Nearly 100 primary school pupils from five different schools joined together in workshops for the second Annual Pupil Attendance Forum.
Pupils from Cherry Tree, Bardfield, Fairhouse, and Whitmore Junior and Primary Schools joined Year Seven students from Barstable in an art, drama and music workshop aimed at exploring the theme I Am Happy To Go To School.
Pleased to be here - Mike Eldrid, head of year eight at Barstable Primary School, teached music to Gail Bourne, Robson Reading, Jack Lomas and Daisy Simmonds Picture: LUAN MARSHALL
The day was held at Barstable School, part of the education action zone, and staff and education welfare officers joined the children in working on the project.
Work done in classes over recent weeks, together with that done on the day, will be included in a permanent travelling display for use by all schools in the area.
The display will celebrate the Forum day and highlight the positives of good attendance
