Young people are being urged to make their views count by joining a new youth council.
It is being developed by Southend Council's youth and connexions service which would like as many young people as possible, aged between 13 and 19, to get involved.
They can find out about the project at an informal meeting on Thursday, June 19, between 6pm and 7.30pm at the Southend Association of Voluntary Services headquarters, in Alexandra Street.
To find out more call Steve Barnett on 01702 332066 or 01702 356000.
