Extra Government cash is being pumped into making Tendring a safer community.
A total pot of £123,642 was announced to be heading to the district by Home Office minister Bob Ainsworth.
It will fund a number of different projects aimed at helping groups crack down on crime.
Chief Supt Dick Madden, head of Tendring police, said it was welcome cash which had already been allocated to a range of important initiatives.
"It is a fact that Tendring is the safest place to live in Essex, but this money will help tackle a number of particular issues faced by residents in our area," he said.
Part of the new funding will go towards a mobile police station for Tendring, which is expected to come on line in September. There is also £28,000 for Open Road for a drug and alcohol programme.
An outreach worker will be provided to go into schools in Tendring to help them work on addressing issues of violence at a cost of £5,500, and another £16,000 will be provided for an outreach worker to help children at risk.
