An organic lavender farm in Wrabness will provide the peaceful haven for a two-day tai chi and therapies festival, designed to relax, restore and de-stress.
The festival will be in the fields and barns at Coperras Wood farm, near the Stour Estuary and the RSPB bird reserve.
It is the first of its kind to be organised by Ruth Anderson, of Bromley Road, Colchester.
She has been practising tai chi for 20 years and is a teacher for the adult education centre, running classes in Manningtree and Wivenhoe and also reiki healing classes in Clacton.
The festival will include tai chi, belly dancing, stress busting, flower remedies, neuro linguistics and other alternative therapies.
It starts on June 20 with the two day workshops on the Saturday and Sunday. There will be camping space in the fields for all participants.
There will be live music on the Saturday evening, meditation and a story teller, with a special cafe serving wholesome food also open all weekend.
Places are limited to 150, so they need to be pre-booked and the cost for the weekend, which includes camping, is £70 or £30 for the day.
To register contact Ruth at 59 Bromley Road, Colchester or visit the web site on www.midsummertaichi.co.uk.
