A mum today told how she would be facing three months of hell after her six-year-old daughter accidentally stabbed herself with a syringe while playing in the park.
Anne Leighton was horrified when her young daughter, who was playing in Rocket Park, Rayleigh, off London Road, came running over with blood pouring from her hand.

Little Megan had been out with a friend when she accidentally stabbed her finger with the needle, which had been lying on the ground.
Her friend then pulled the needle out and Megan, of Salem Walk, Rayleigh, started sucking her hand to stop the bleeding.
Her devastated mum said: "I immediately took her to casualty.
"She has had to have blood tests for Hepatitis B and she will have to have a booster and then a jab in a month's time and another jab the following month and then more blood tests to see if she has contracted it.
"It will be three months of hell. This is my idea of a nightmare."
