A woman from Witham is calling for parents of children with asthma to come forward and take advantage of residential holidays specially designed for them.
Kate Hayward, who works with the National Asthma Campaign, is trying to get young people involved in a project called Peak, which offers activity holidays for children aged between six and 17 who have moderate asthma or eczema.
The aim of the holidays is to improve young people's confidence and knowledge of their condition and help them learn how to manage better.
All the children are looked after by a team of volunteer doctors and nurses and other people trained in child welfare.
Peak is running four holidays this year: Ballycastle, Northern Ireland, June 28 to July 3; Pocklington, Yorkshire, July 20 to July 26; Tettenhall, Wolverhampton, August 3 to August 9; Taunton, Somerset, August 17 to August 23.
The price of each holiday is dependent on the families' ability to pay
