Smart pigs from South Woodham's Marsh Farm lost their bid for the crown of the country's brainiest animal on a BBC 1 programme this week.
Three of the farm's sows showed off their problem solving skills on Britain's Cleverest Animals show, broadcast on Wednesday night.
Under the training of pig stockman Graham Godfrey, the animals learnt to carry and undo collars to make their computerised feed system release extra food.
Winners of the title were the resourceful rooks at the M4 Membery Service station who raided litter bins for food by dragging up bin liners.
