Southend Sabres are looking for their first home win of a difficult season when they take on Nene Valley Hybrids on Sunday.
The squad's 20th anniversary season has not gone to plan so far, with injuries to key players and a reduced squad limiting them to just one win in five Division Two South East matches.
But Nene Valley -- a newly formed team taking in the remnants of the old North-ampton squad -- have also struggled this season, giving Essex's oldest American Football team a great chance to improve their record.
The match kicks off at Southend Rugby Club at 2.30pm. Basildon's Essex Spartans are without a game this week.
