Brian Mead, county councillor for Maldon, made the announcement at a recent meeting with Maldon Town Council to discuss complaints of congestion and speeding in the town centre.

Speeding and parking problems in Wantz Road were also discussed.
Cllr Mead supported the narrowing of Wantz Road in places through the use of chicanes and said that every option is currently being looked at.
