Volunteers are being sought to help out at the Rochford and Rayleigh Citizens Advice Bureau.
This week is National Volunteers Week, which is a celebration of the 21 million people who volunteer nationally.
The Rochford and Rayleigh CAB - which has offices at the Civic Suite, in Hockley Road, Rayleigh, and Back Lane, in Rochford - is staffed by 82 volunteers.
Some work as advisers after getting training on national CAB programmes and others offer the administrative skills relevant to local needs. District manager Alison Henwood said: "We rely totally on our volunteers and wouldn't be able to run a service without them.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their efforts on behalf of our clients and the community as a whole."
To volunteer for CAB work, call Alison or Gill on 01268 770782 or 01702 545552.
