The Essex County FA have announced the winners of their 2003 Football Workforce Awards -- and they include two local club officials.
Football Workforce is an FA initiative which ensures that volunteers are recruited, rewarded and recognised for their commitment to the grassroots game.
The 2003 winners include Susan Hume (Assandun Vikings Girls, Rayleigh), Tony Brooker (Blackgate Gunners) and Derrick Pearson (Forest Glade).
Others chosen are Henry Thomson (Maldon Saints YFC), Ken Richbell (Buckhurst Hill Junior Sports Club).
Essex County FA football development officer Lana Bond commented: "The five winners have been awarded for their significant contribution to football in Essex and Susan Hume has been selected for consideration in the National Awards."
