Carers can have a fun day out - with all the costs picked up by the council.
The event being held in Essex this Sunday will include live entertainment and pampering.
It is open to all unpaid carers and their families and friends and was organised to mark National Carers Week.
Derek Robinson, Essex County Council's cabinet member for community care, said: "This is the second time we have organised this event to say thank you to carers for all their dedication and hard work in helping people to live independently at home."
For more information on the day, which is being held at the Chelmsford County High School for Girls, call 01245 434708.
