Police are appealing for information after a man approached two teenage girls in Maldon.
Between 7pm and 8pm on May 24, two young teenage girls waiting in Mariners Way for one of their parents were approached by a man in a car claiming that there was a party in town and were they interested in going.
The man drove away when a parent turned up.
Police are asking for information on the identity of the man and appealing for anyone else who may have suffered a similar incident and not reported it to contact them.
The man, who was driving a K-registration red car, is described as slim build, average height and around 30-years-old with short cropped dark hair and a very short beard. He had dark skin.
On the night of the incident he was wearing black trousers and a black long-sleeved T-shirt.
