Langham's support for a fundraising bonds scheme has been so good that a second issue has been released.
The committee behind plans for a community shop and post office came up with the idea as a way of financing the stock requirements of their enterprise.
But the bonds soon sold out, and the next batch, which supporters can exchange for goods a year after the shop opens, is now available.
Committee member Gill Flack said the group's application for £25,000 from the Countryside Agency should be decided this month.
If approved, it will then be a case of raising £7,000 from the Boxted and Langham communities to complete the project.
Mrs Flack said residents and supporters from outside the two villages could help by offering their time and skills, the cost of which could then be exchanged for funds from grant providers.
They can also make donations or support the bonds scheme.
Application forms for the bonds are available from Gill Flack on 01206 322999 or treasurer Tony Ellis on 01206 231164.
