A schoolgirl was terrified when a man robbed her at knifepoint as she waited for her parents in a shopping centre car park.
The 16-year-old was waiting in the car at the Royals shopping centre car park, in Southend.
The robber appeared at the car door out of nowhere, opened it and produced a knife, swearing at her and telling her to hand over her money.
She gave him her school bag, which contained a mobile phone, house keys and schoolwork. Anyone who witnessed the robbery, which happened at around 4.40pm on Tuesday, should contact police on 01702 431212.
