More police foot patrols will be set up in a village in a bid to combat nuisance youths.
Little Clacton parish councillors heard of the decision in a monthly report from PC Debbie Banks, of Walton police.
She said in her report they had received six calls during May regarding the problem, which related mostly to the Plough Corner and Harwich Road area of Little Clacton.
PC Banks said there had been a total of 51 calls to police from the village during the whole month.
These included two burglaries, five incidents of criminal damage and two road accidents.
