Southend United chief Steve Wignall will hold transfer talks with a Third Division targetman tomorrow.
The Blues boss has been thwarted in a bid to sign Cambridge's out-of-contract 17-goal hitman Omer Riza, who has opted for a switch to Turkey.
And he has now turned his attentions towards another striking target.
"I'm meeting a player tomorrow who has expressed an interest in playing a part in what we want to achieve at Roots Hall," confirmed Wignall.
"He is a big lad who can give us another attacking dimension as he is different to what we have already got at the club.
"I'm hoping the negotiations go well and that I can bring him to Southend soon."
