A supermum was today waiting to hear if she has clinched a top national award.
Lesley-Anne Mills has helped to raise thousands of pounds for charity at The Charity Shop For Kids, which she manages in Orwell Road, Clacton.
She first started the shop in smaller premises in 2001. Money was raised for the St Helena Hospice day centre in Clacton but business was booming and the shop had to find a larger site.
When the shop moved, it also changed its beneficiary to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
Now James, one of her four children, has nominated his mum for her fundraising and commitment to her children in a national newspaper's Wondermum competition.
The competition invited readers to write and say why their mum should be nominated.
Each of the Wondermum's stories was printed in The Sun last week and readers have been voting for the overall winner.
