Farleigh Hospice has paid tribute to its 650 volunteers during Volunteers' Week which runs until June 7 as a national celebration of UK volunteers.
"Our volunteers are invaluable and help us provide hospice care to our patients and their families.
"Our appreciation also extends to those who formerly used to support the Hospice as volunteers, everyone has made a contribution," said Sarah Bray, volunteer co-ordinator at Farleigh.
"Volunteers are an exceptionally important part of Farleigh Hospice and outnumber paid staff by six-and-a-half to one.
Farleigh is seeking volunteer kitchen helpers, drivers and helpers to sort through clothing donations. More details can be obtained by contacting Sarah Bray on 01245 358130
