Great Wakering Rovers are likely to have six new opponents to take on when the new Ryman Division One North campaign gets underway on August 16.
Three clubs relegated from the Premier, Chesham, Boreham Wood and Enfield, have opted to come into the North section, while promoted Leyton and Cheshunt come up from Division Two.
The other proposed newcomers are Dunstable Town, being elevated from the Spartan South Midlands League, but both Slough and Marlow are seeking a move to Division One South.
The new set-ups will be up for ratifying when the League's annual meeting takes place at Gatwick on June 16.
On the same night, the Essex and Herts Border Combination, of which Wakering Reserves are members, hold their annual meeting at Dagenham and, with a number of resignations including Tilbury and East Thurrock, it's proposed that the competition revert to one division of 21 teams.
In view of the increase in league game one of the two knockout competitions usually staged will also likely be ended.
Wakering have added to their pre-season list of friendly fixtures by fixing their annual game with Billericay Town. This will go ahead on Tuesday July 22 at Burroughs Park.
