Leigh professional boxer Danny Hunt is aiming to get back into the ring this summer after cuts costs him his last two bouts.
The lightweight was due to box on May 8 and May 24 but both fights had to be scrapped following gashes in sparring.
Now Hunt has been pencilled in for a six-round match at Dagenham's Goresbrook Centre on July 17.
"I was absolutely gutted about the second cut because about three weeks before that I got another cut, which was not so bad and was glued together," said the 22-year-old.
"The second one came when I was sparring with Alan Minter's son Ross and needed seven stitches in it."
Hunt and his manager Frank Maloney are now considering sending the Leigh fighter to skin specialist Patrick Whitfield for advice.
