The life-saving Essex Air Ambulance celebrated its fifth birthday in style by unveiling its new helicopter at a fun day in Colchester.
The Europcopter EC135 replaces the 30-year-old Bolkow helicopter and pilots and paramedics are looking forward to using the new machine.

Paramedic Terry Dix, who is on secondment from Colchester's ambulance station said: "There's a lot more room in this aircraft.
We can get access to to the entire patient which we couldn't in the old one and it will make a huge difference.
"It's the state of the art Air Ambulance in the UK."
