Contract manager Sam Rahman said he was delighted with the progress so far and believes the shell to the £6million development will be completed in just six weeks.
And he hopes it will be fully fitted and ready to open come Christmas.
There are about 30 people at work on the site.
The centre is expected to create up to 100 jobs and will include among other features gyms with 200 exercise machines, two huge fitness studios and a 25 metre pool.
