Most people have a party to celebrate their 50th birthday - but not Peter Jackson.
He is cycling a gruelling 921 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats, to mark his half century and raise cash for the Essex Air Ambulance.

Peter, a maintenance engineer, from Pebmarsh Drive, Wickford, will be have a one-woman support team in the shape of partner Diane Everett, who will drive the route in a car.
Diane said: "We think Peter can finish the trip in about three-to-four weeks, cycling about 50 miles-a-day.
"We thought the Essex Air Ambulance was a really good cause and know a few people who have either been helped by the charity or work for them."
