Children were treated to an exciting sports day laid on by students from Palmer's College in Grays.
Five leisure and tourism students organised the event for ten-year-old pupils of Lansdowne School, Tilbury, as one of the projects for their intermediate GNVQ qualifications.
Sports included a five-a-side football tournament, a cricket competition, relay races, skipping contests and a 50 metre sprint.
All pupils were given participation certificates in a ceremony back at the school, while the winners of events received trophies.
