Southend United manager Steve Wignall today admitted he was disappointed not to have heard from the Blues' three contract rebels.
Striker Mark Rawle plus midfield duo Stuart Thurgood and Steven Clark have all been offered new deals at Roots Hall.
But the trio have so far not committed themselves to the Shrimpers for next season's Division Three campaign.
"I am disappointed that the lads have not come back to me," said Wignall. "They are within their rights but I was hoping they might have made a decision.
"I spoke to Rawle's agent yesterday and he wants to delay a bit to look at what's about, but it's not helping us prepare to next season.
"We have heard nothing from Thurgood or Clark and I would like to hear something by the end of the week.
"I would have hoped that they would show their commitment to the club a bit earlier if they want to stay here."
The trio have until June 16 to make their minds up but Wignall cannot make any plans to fill their positions until he knows if the players will re-sign.
