Young people in Essex are being asked what they want in a new Youth Charter.
Connexions is a new advice service set up to provide information, guidance and support to 13-19 year olds.
The level of service young people can expect will be written into a charter which will be drawn up with the help of local teenagers.
John Bottomley, Manager, Southend & Thurrock Connexions said: "We are and will continue to actively involve young people in the development of the Connexions service.
"Young people writing, developing and feeding back their views on the new Youth Charter is just one of the initiatives where we have involved young people in the design of the service."
The draft charter can be seen on the EST Connexions website www.estconnexions.co.uk
