Bumper bank holiday crowds faced traffic chaos when part of the main route into Clacton was closed following a two car accident.
Crowds of people poured into Clacton and neighbouring Walton and Frinton yesterday as the seaside towns enjoyed one of the hottest days of the year so far.

But as more people tried to make their way to the resorts, a section of the A133 at Little Bentley near the Shell petrol station and Little Chef restaurant was closed to traffic for about two hours.
Emergency services were called just after 2pm to the busy road, which is the main route in and out of Clacton.
A spokesman for Clacton police said a red Honda Accord and a Vauxhall Astra had been involved in the accident, which left two people injured and glass and debris strewn all over the road
The two cars were travelling in different directions when the crash happened.
He said two people suffered slight injuries and were taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital for treatment.
