The countdown is on to one of the most popular events in Brentwood's calendar, the Strawberry Fair.
Last year's fair attracted thousands of visitors to Shenfield Common and it hoped the 2003 event on Saturday, June 14 will be just as popular.
Once again there will be several features of the day including the Teddy Bear's Picnic and children are being encouraged to bring their favourite bear, whether it is old, young, big, tiny, fat, scruffy or posh and take part in the parade where they could win a prize.
The fair will also see the annual display of vintage and classic cars, which will parade through the High Street on their way to the common.
There will also be performances by Essex Dance Theatre, All Star Dancers and the Misty Dog Swing Band and visitors will also be able to enjoy a number of craft stalls, donkey rides, round-a-bouts and food and drink which includes the offer of strawberries and cream.
The fair opens at 10am with the classic cars arriving at around 11.45am and the Teddy Bear's Picnic is scheduled for 2pm. Admission is free and programmes will be on sale for £1.
The event is being organised by Roy Dyer of Brentwood Events which also sponsors the event along with Brentwood Borough Council and Brentwood Town Centre Partnership Board.
