A strike by French air traffic controllers led to the cancellation of 34 flights from Stansted Airport today

Irish carrier Ryanair cancelled 28 flights to destinations across France but did manage to operate eight flights. EasyJet cancelled six.

A Stansted Airport spokesman said Ryanair had added additional flights tomorrow and Thursday to ease the situation for passengers.

Air traffic controllers have joined other French workers to protest against a reform of the pension system
