New Billericay Town boss Justin Edinburgh has turned to a former Spurs colleague in his attempts to achieve Ryman Premier glory at New Lodge.
Edinburgh, who took over a week ago, has appointed Andy Polston as his number two but, unlike the boss whose soccer background is entirely in the Football League, his assistant has a wealth of experience at non-League level.
Polston, like Edinburgh a defender during his playing days, was also with Brighton and Cambridge United during his full-time pro days before going on to play hundreds of matches at Ryman level for Hendon, St Albans, Braintree and Boreham Wood.
With Bowers United manager Tony Cross having already joined the new managerial set-up - his main duties will centre around the reserves and youth development - Edinburgh has completed his backroom team as he and his colleagues get ready for a busy summer.
Edinburgh said: "Andy and I have been friends since I joined Spurs and, to be honest, he was the first person I thought of as a number two when I was appointed.
"He has just the right blend of experience at League and non-League level and will have a lot to offer.
"I was really pleased when he agreed to come on board."
With Polston being, at 32, just a year younger than Edinburgh, Billericay will certainly have the most youthful managerial team in the club's history in harness.
