Noak Bridge residents are hoping for more sponsorship as they take a five-mile stroll this Sunday to raise funds for the village's youngsters.
Terri Sargent, chairman of the Noak Bridge Community Association, said the walk - organised by Billericay MP John Baron - will raise money for youth projects and pay for improved lighting at the village hall.
She said: "We would like some more sponsors for the walk which five of the community members will be participating in."
The five-mile walk kicks off at 2pm on Sunday starting at Barleylands farm and touring Crays Hill.
Anyone wanting to pledge money should contact Terri on 01268 288766.
