The sky's the limit for daredevil grandmother Hazel Luckman who is preparing to wing walk for charity at the Southend Airshow.

The intrepid 60-year-old will carry out her amazing feat on the wings of the Utterly Butterly bi-plane in front of thousands of people on Monday.

Hazel, of Golden Cross Road, Rochford, is hoping to raise cash for the Southend Hospital Building Blocks Appeal.

The mother-of-three, who suffers from arthritis, said: "I'm really looking forward to getting out there and doing my stuff.

"I did the loop-the-loop in an Apache jet at last year's airshow so I suppose this is just taking one step further. I just hope the weather is fine!"

Hazel, married to Ron, will be one of four wing walkers taking to the skies at the annual showpiece spectacular.

She added: "My daughter Amanda is severely disabled and she was cared for at Southend Hospital - so I want to do all I can to raise cash for the Building Blocks Appeal."
