Rayleigh-based martial artists from the USK SHARKS Karate Club have been crowned national champions.

They scooped the overall title the Eileen Wilkins Memorial Shield -- after winning seven individual golds at the event at Hackney.
SHARKS added eight silvers and eight bronzes with some superb performances.
The club, under the guidance of sixth dan Sensei John Anderson, train at the Pope John Paul Hall on Wednesdays.
