Hot cross buns have helped net around £150 for young carers.
Thanks - Gillian Pond, of the carers' project, receives a cheque from Gina Maitland-Rix of the creative studies group Picture: MAXINE CLARKE
Members of the creative studies group at St Peter's Church Hall raised the cash for Crossroads' Young Carers' Project which supports children who look after sick or disabled parent or sibling.
It also runs a drop-in centre and arranges trips for the youngsters to give them a break.
The group, which meets at the church hall, in Church Road, Thundersley, collected the money by selling hundreds of hot cross buns at special coffee mornings last month.
Doris Cox, who chairs the group, said: "We have have a hot cross bun morning every year."
