Basildon Ladies had a win in the second of the Silver matches.
Playing in appalling conditions, complete with strong winds and hail, the new towners had a decisive 5-2 home victory over Clacton.
The Fives team also fared well when they played Cheshunt at home and achieved a 3 and 2 win.
Maureen Parkin was the star of the day on when she played four under her handicap for a net 67 in winning the Bronze section of the UK Public Golf Course Championship.
Margaret O'Leary took the silver place with a net 75 and will join Maureen in their quest for the titles.
