Roy Weston hit the jackpot by landing a superb 70lb-plus mixed haul at Basildon's Gloucester Park Lake.
Using a scorpion indicator from his new Hotspot range, the Ridley Angling Products proprietor fished a swim feeder and red maggot to include seven different species in his big haul.
His catch included carp to over 10lb, a net of chub to 3lb, numerous tench to over 4lb, a big bream, a crucian, and a number of quality roach.
Weston, who had his rod pulled out of the rest on two occasions, also netted three barbel to a best of 3lb. All of the fish fell to maggot baits.
