Tiptree Road Runners' husband and wife, John and Angela Green, ran their first race since the London Marathon and both were rewarded with big improvements at Sundays Great Baddow 10 mile race.
John set a personal best by over a minute, running 62 minutes 20 seconds to clinch a top twenty place, while Angela ran one of her best times for years in 87 minutes 34 seconds.
Veteran Roger Duffield continued his busy racing programme with a 5 kilometre track race at Braintree last Thursday, part of the Witham 5K series.
His time of 21 minutes 40 seconds gave him 8th place overall and 1st veteran over 60. On Sunday, he ran in the Halstead Fun Run to take 4th place overall and 1st veteran over 60 with a time of 23 minutes for the 5K plus course.
Mark Duffield ran 24 minutes to take 10th place in the same event. Rob Hadgraft is showing a welcome return to form with some good recent results.
On 5th May, he took a terrific 4th place in the Wendens Ambo fun run, completing the three and a half mile course in 23 minutes 42 seconds.
On 11th May, he visited the Sandringham estate in Norfolk for a five mile trail race, running 38 minutes 2 seconds to finish 36th out of 200.
