Police are launching a new crackdown on vandals in Clacton.
There have been a number of reports of criminal damage to cars and windows being smashed and police say the culprits will be caught and dealt with.
Insp Paul Morton, of Clacton police, said: "We are aware of the criminal damage problems and when the people responsible are arrested, they will be dealt with."
Vandals struck in London Road, Clacton, when they caused damage to a front wall on Monday.
There were also reports that the bodywork of a Ford Puma and a Vauxhall Frontera were scratched in Valley Road, Clacton, within minutes of each other. Both reports were made just before 3pm on Monday.
And in Hayes Road, Clacton, vandals caused about £800 worth of damage when they scratched the bodywork of a Ford Focus. It was reported at 10.45am on Monday.
There were also incidents of windows being smashed by vandals.
Insp Morton said: "Clacton police are running a pro-active criminal damage operation, where officers are targeting hotspot areas."
