Bob Brogden travelled from Kent to fish Rochford's Doggetts fishery and was rewarded with an 18.12lb mirror plus a common of 14lb.
Chris Lyndsay from Westcliff fished the long arm and found most of his fish tight to the reeds.
Besides numerous tench and bream, Lyndsay landed mirrors of 18 and 19lb, plus a 20.4lb common and a mirror of 20.6lb.
The carp angler with the biggest smile was Doggetts Alan Slade, who had an excellent session on the north bank.
Slade landed a common of 14lb, mirrors of 18lb 19.5lb plus a personal best 29.2lb specimen. He also landed two nice tench.
