There may have been a puzzled look on the faces of some parents when they attended a special maths evening just for them - but it certainly didn't add up to total confusion.

The mums and dads took away with them some useful information on how to help their children with numeracy, which Westwood School in Hadleigh hopes will multiply the youngsters' chances of success in the subject.
Now the parents who attended the evening will be in a better position to add to their own numeric knowledge, as well as helping their children, the school believes.
