Out-of-contract duo Richard Naylor and Fabian Wilnis are still mulling over new deals before committing themselves to Ipswich Town.
But the pair, both offered 12-month extensions, today strongly indicated they would like to stay at Portman Road.
Naylor's Ipswich career was resurrected last season after he established himself as a reliable makeshift centre-half.
And he told the Evening Gazette: "I haven't signed anything because I've been weighing up my options.
"But I think it's fair to say I'd like to stay."
Wilnis said: "I'm still mulling the deal over and there's a couple of minor details I need to discuss with Joe.
"But nothing has changed in terms of my desire to stay. I'm very happy and settled at Ipswich."
