Teachers, charity workers and fundraisers struggling to raise cash to complete a respite care facility for special needs children were today reeling after vandals caused £4,000 damage.

Yobs climbed fences to smash five windows on the unfinished Christopher's Cottage buildings behind St Christopher's School, Leigh.
The school has raised £1.4million but needs another £250,000.
