New overseas' star Kim Beasley is quickly establishing himself as a big hit with Wickford in the Shepherd Neame Essex League Second Division.
As Wickford scored their second successive win, Aussie Beasley followed up his 160 in a pre-season date with Westcliff by hitting an unbeaten 137 to bring his side a maximum 18 points from their derby date with Billericay at Patmore Memorial Ground.
Beasley shared in a match-winning fourth-wicket stand of 146 with Matthew Bate, who notched 56 in his first game of the season.
Earlier Billericay had decent knocks of 56 from Colin Thornton and 55 from P Southgate to thank for a solid total, despite Jamie Went taking 4-42 and Chris Gladwin 3-70.
A 20-minute stoppage for rain about 5pm looked like halting Wickford and they struggled to 40-3 at one stage, but the Beasley-Bate show saw them home with the opposition collecting ten points.
