The Shrimpers chief met up with a group of football mad youngsters in the playground of Leigh's Darlinghurst primary school.
And he told them all about Blues' great value £23 season ticket, which allows children under the age of 16 to watch every Roots Hall league match for just £1.
"It's brilliant we can offer these sorts of prices and attract young supporters to Roots Hall," said Wignall.
"They are the lifeblood of the club and our future fans, and we want as many of them as possible at all our home games getting behind the team.
"At just £1 a match, it gives the kids a great incentive to come and support their local side.
