Marshals are needed to direct competitors in this summer's Braintree triathlon event.
Kevin Rowe, co-organiser of the Sainsbury's Second Braintree District Triathlon, needs volunteers at certain points along the route when the race takes place on June 8.
People are needed along the course to direct the athletes and make sure they follow the right route, make sure they are safe, and at water stations.
The race starts with a 400m swim at the Riverside Centre, Notley Road, Braintree, followed by a 22km cycle ride to Witham, and back to the centre.
Entrants then start on a 5km run in the area of the Riverside Centre.
Help for the event has already been pledged from a number of groups, including Braintree Swimming Club, which will be timekeeping and counting laps as the competitors complete the swimming stage at the Riverside Centre.
Special police constables will be positioned at certain road junctions, while another of the groups helping out is the Braintree Air Cadets.
Anyone interested in helping can call Mr Rowe on 07919 484843 or 01371 872208, or Mark Harman on 01376 330722.
