Joe Keith will sign his new Colchester United contract tomorrow with a promise to the fans 'you ain't seen nothing yet.'
The former West Ham youth-teamer, recently voted the U's players' player-of-the-Year, today told the Evening Gazette he wanted to celebrate his two-year deal by giving the Layer Road fans even more to cheer about.
"There's a lot more football in the Joe Keith tank," he said.
"And if we play next season in the same way as we just finished the last and the manager brings in the players he wants there's every reason we can go on and do really well."
On a personal note, the former Hammers trainee, who will be starting his fifth season of Division Two football with the U's in August, said: "I'm very happy to have landed a new two-year deal.
"That's what scoring nine goals a season from left-back and midfield does for you.
"If injury hadn't cost me the last half-a-dozen games of last season I'd have scored more than that.
"I'll be setting myself a double-figure target when the new season comes around."
