A young family were today left homeless after fire ripped through their flat.
Disaster struck after a kitchen blaze in their top floor apartment in Tenny House, Curzon Drive, Grays.
The family, consisting of a couple in their 20s and their two-week-old baby, were all in the home when the fire raged just before 7pm on Friday.
Mother and child escaped unhurt, but the father suffered minor burns.
