Villagers are up in arms over a proposed mini-estate.
It is the latest proposed residential development at Kirby Cross and Kirby-le-Soken which has sparked opposition.
A petition signed by 106 residents opposing the scheme has been sent in to Frinton and Walton Town Council plus letters from 16 protestors.
And at its meeting last night members added their opposition.
They heard the proposed development by Lamaid Homes, on a site in The Street, could provide space for a minimum of between 15-25 homes.
And with options to spread onto neighbouring properties opposite Maltings Lane this could rise to a total of between 45-50.
As with the three other proposals at Kirby Cross councillors feared that the local facilities might be overstretched and have opposed the plans.
The final decision is up to Tendring Council.
