The busy spring programme continued at Thorpe Hall with the Welton Bowl, a greensome foursomes which also produces the qualifiers for the Kindred Clubs team competition.
This will be hosted by Thorpe on July 6 against Boyce Hill, Rochford. Southend and Belfairs.
The winners were Neil Johns and Nigel Franklin with Mike Hickling and David Gordon runners-up, both with 36 points.
The remaining qualifiers were Bruce Turner and Harry Hopkins, and Joe Hibbitt and Derek Bush. Both pairs had 33 points.
The senior May Stableford was won by Dave Britton with 37 points and Martin Maynard with 36 points was runner-up.
The Junior Division was won by Dennis Travell from Nick Shiret. Both had 37 and Shiret was cut to 18 handicap.
The Senior Division May Medal was won by Bill Preedy with a gross 72 off three handicap and he was cut to two.
Ronnie Neale was second with a gross 80 off 10 handicap and he has been cut back to nine.
The Junior Division was won by Richard Horsfall with a net 70 off 14 handicap, now 13, and the runner-up was Andy Blueman, also with net 70 off 20 but now cut to 19.
